THE HISTORY OF OUR LIQUEUR

The recipe for this bitter dates back to the early 1900s when it was handcrafted in a valley at the foot of the Alps. Steno was the owner of a cozy inn, renowned for its warm hospitality, good food, and especially the famous digestive bitter of his own creation.

During World War II, his inn continued to offer room and board, but it also became a refuge for the persecuted, thanks to its secluded location in the woods. It was due to Steno’s bravery and deep humanity that many lives were saved.

After his passing, the inn was sold, but his son safeguarded the recipe for the bitter.

As a pharmacist, he occasionally made a few bottles of the handcrafted, fine liqueur—created through the slow maceration of herbs and aromatic plants—for his friends.

In honor of his father and the values of selflessness and freedom for which Steno risked his life, he named the drink “AMARO STENNA.”

The recipe for this bitter has been passed down through the generations and is now being revived for everyone to enjoy.
